Key News Overnight:
Spot gold rose 0.1% to US$1,931/oz after falling as much as 1.2% to US$1,906/oz. U.S. gold futures settled up 0.5% at US$1,943/oz.
Brent crude fell US$2.23, or 5.3%, to trade at US$39.78bbl. West Texas Intermediate crude dropped US$2.07, or 5.2%, to trade at US$37.70bbl.
