Internship Program

Argonaut is technically driven & focused on Metals & Mining, Energy, Agribusiness, Decarbonisation Businesses and Contractors that service the natural resource sector and select Industrial companies. Argonaut Internship / Work Experience candidates are high achieving bachelor or honours degree students in Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Geology, Law, Mathematical Science or similar disciplines who are passionate about the commerce arena. You will need to be highly numerate, positive, energetic and a team player who displays initiative and has well developed communication and people skills.
Within our Corporate Advisory area you will gain exposure to complex financial modelling, business analysis, valuation, pitch preparation and industry and company research. You will be provided with exposure to live transactions and assist in the presentation and marketing of concepts to clients. You will have the rare opportunity to be exposed to the workings and activities of our investment banking team.
Within our Stockbroking division you will assist our Dealers and observe how they review investment opportunities and then provide considered advice to their clients. You will have the opportunity to learn, observe and gain practical experience from some of the industry’s leading Institutional Dealers and Corporate and Private Client Advisers.
Within our highly rated research team you will assist in the preparation of research on a range of companies in the Metals & Mining, Energy, Agribusiness, Resource Services, Technology and select Industrial sectors. This will entail financial modelling, valuation and analysis of all key aspects of a company’s operations.
Argonaut accepts applications for Internship positions at any time with a closing date of 31 August annually for the ensuing summer (Dec – Feb) and winter (June / July) vacation periods. Interviews for short listed applicants occur in September / October.
