Perth head-quartered Argonaut, the specialist natural resources investment banking firm, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Hayden Bairstow as Head of Research.
Mr Bairstow has built an imposing reputation as one of the most influential resources research
analysts in Australia. Most recently he was Head of Resources Research at Macquarie Equities.
Hayden is a key appointment in Argonaut’s “talent-led strategic growth initiative”. It follows hot on
the heels of Argonaut securing Benjamin Clifford the former Co-Head of Equities – Managing
Director at Goldman Sachs in Sydney.
Hayden will join Argonaut as a member of the firm’s senior leadership team and become a
meaningful shareholder.

Hayden has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking and stockbroking across Australia.
He most recently was Head of Resources Research at Macquarie where he successfully managed a
team of five (5) analysts covering nearly 70 leading ASX listed resources companies. Prior to that
role, Hayden was Head of Resources Research at CLSA. Hayden commenced his career in the
investment banking and stockbroking industry in Perth with DJ Carmichael and Paterson Securities.
