Key News Overnight:
Spot gold dipped -0.4% to US$1,945/oz and U.S. gold futures settled down 1% at US$1,949/oz.
Brent crude fell 10 US cents to US$44.96ppb, while West Texas Intermediate settled 23 US cents lower at US$43.01ppb.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 closed down 1.2%, with travel and leisure stocks dropping more than 2.3% on the back of new travel restrictions as all sectors and major bourses slid into negative territory.
