Key News Overnight:
Spot gold was up 1.5% at US$1,854/oz, while U.S. gold futures settled up 1.3% at US$1,856/oz.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.1% to end at 30,199 points, while the S&P 500 gained 1.3% to 3,695. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.3% to end at 12,595, exceeding its previous record high close on Dec. 8.
