Charles has had an extensive career in the finance sector. Charles co-founded Argonaut Limited in 2002 and built a distinguished track record in M&A, Advisory & Capital Markets transactions prior to retiring in 2019. During this time Argonaut advised on over $4B worth of M&A deals, raised in excess of $38B in equity and arranged more than $1.5B in debt.
Prior to establishing Argonaut Charles was the Managing Director, Investment Banking with CIBC World Markets, a Director of Hartley Poynton and Senior Insolvency Partner with KPMG.
In addition to his role with Argonaut, Charles is a Director of Atrum Coal and has held numerous other directorships of listed and non-listed entities. Charles is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors in recognition of his outstanding career achievements.
