Event and First Take: Discovery of another zone at Hemi – Positive
A third zone for Hemi: De Grey looks to have discovered a third zone at its Hemi Prospect (called Crow), part of the Mallina Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Air core (AC) drilling to the north of the Aquila Zone has defined a gold anomaly of ~1,000m long and ~300m wide, which is roughly to same scale as the Brolga Zone. Better results from AC drilling included:
- 4m @ 0.7g/t Au from 42m
- 4m @ 1.2g/t Au from 70m
- 4m @ 0.5g/t Au from 80m
- 6m @ 0.8g/t Au from 106m
Six RC holes have been drilled into the Crow zone to date, with all displaying varying levels of sulphides. Gold mineralisation in the Brolga and Aquila zones has a strong association with sulphides. Assays have only been received for one hole to date. Hole HERC043 recorded a broad zone of mineralisation, with better results applying a 0.3g/t cut-off including:
- >72m @ 0.3g/t Au from 42m, including
- 4m @ 0.7g/t Au from 42m, and
- 4m @ 1.2g/t Au from 70m, and
- 4m @ 0.5g/t Au from 80m, and
- 6m @ 0.8g/t Au from 106m
