Gregory Southee

Gregory Southee

Greg is the CEO of Argonaut Limited and leads the firm’s Corporate Finance division. With qualifications in law and commerce (majors in finance and accounting), he brings over 23 years of investment banking experience, particularly in the natural resources sector. Greg has advised on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, debt advisory, and corporate restructurings across various industries and jurisdictions.
He began his career at Argonaut shortly after its inception and played a pivotal role in establishing the firm’s Hong Kong office in 2011. Greg served as Head of Asia and Executive Director during his tenure in Hong Kong, holding Responsible Officer status under the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. He returned to Perth in 2021 to assume his current leadership role.
Greg is a Responsible Manager under the Australian Financial Services Licence regime and a Fellow of FINSIA.

Edward Rigg

Eddie is the co-founder of Argonaut and brings over 30 years of investment banking experience, with a focus on the metals, mining, and energy sectors. He has led numerous M&A and capital raising transactions for a wide range of clients, from small-cap explorers to multinational corporations and state-owned enterprises. Before establishing Argonaut in 2002, Eddie was Executive Director of Investment Banking at CIBC World Markets.
In addition to his leadership at Argonaut, Eddie is Chairman of Salubris Australia and a co-founder of Global Lithium Resources, underlining his deep commitment to the natural resources industry. He is a Responsible Executive under the ASX Market Integrity Rules and a Responsible Manager under the Australian Financial Services Licence regime. His contributions to the business and broader community have been recognised with accolades including the 40under40 and City of Perth Business Awards.
Outside of his corporate career, Eddie is the principal of Geisel Park Stud, a respected Western Australian thoroughbred stud. A passionate sports enthusiast, he is also a long-suffering supporter of the Fremantle Dockers.
Eddie maintains a strong commitment to community service. He is a co-founder of Autism West (now Spectrum Space) alongside his wife Kylie, a past President of the Carbine Club of WA, and former Vice Chairman of The Western Australian Turf Club. He has also played an instrumental role in supporting melanoma research initiatives in Western Australia.

Liam Twigger

Liam has decades of experience providing strategic corporate advice, managing divestments, and executing mergers and acquisitions across the resources sector.
Prior to joining Argonaut through its merger with PCF Capital Group in 2021, Liam was principal of PCF and played a key role in growing the business into a leading independent corporate advisory and investment banking firm in the mining sector. Liam was also a founding partner of the establishment of Macquarie Bank in WA.
He currently serves as Chairman Lunnon Metals Limited, an ASX-listed nickel exploration company operating in Kambalda, Western Australia and is Chairman of Sport West, the peak body for all sporting codes in WA.
His professional background combines corporate finance, executive leadership, and board governance, with a continued focus on the development of high-potential resource assets.

Hayden Bairstow

Hayden joined Argonaut in 2022 as Head of Research. He is an experienced and influential resources research analyst in Australia, with extensive experience in the investment banking and stockbroking industry.
Prior to joining Argonaut, Hayden was the Head of Resources Research at Macquarie Equities. During his 10-year tenure, he successfully managed a team of analysts covering nearly 70 leading ASX-listed resources companies.

Anthony Bayne

For more than 23 years Anthony has provided strategic, M&A and financing related advice across the natural resources, power & energy and resource services related sectors. Anthony has worked with a range of global organisations including Alcoa, Anglo American, EDF, Engie, Mitsubishi, Petronas, Rio Tinto, TotalEnergies and Weir working across EMEA and APAC.
Prior to joining Argonaut, held the position of Managing Director at Rothschild & Co.
Anthony holds a Bachelor on Commerce (Honours) and is a CFA charterholder.

Glen Colgan

Glen joined Argonaut in 2007.
He has more than 35 years of experience in the financial sector, particularly within the Australian stockbroking industry. Glen has worked across various roles including trading floor operator, Designated Trading Representative, Private Client Adviser, and Corporate Stockbroker, gaining extensive knowledge of share trading and advisory services. He was also Managing Director of Argonaut Group from 2017 to 2022.
Prior to joining Argonaut, Glen managed of a successful Goldfields-based stockbroking operation for six years, where he developed strong expertise in the mining and mineral exploration sectors.
Glen specialises in small to mid-cap resource stocks and Western Australian industrials, as well as providing equities investment advice to client portfolios. He is qualified to advise on superannuation, margin lending, and is a Level 1 Accredited Derivatives Adviser.

Digby joined Argonaut in 2025.
He has over 20 years of experience in equities, investment banking, and stockbroking. Digby has held senior roles at Canaccord Genuity Australia, Hartleys, and Citi, based in both Perth and Sydney, and has built a strong reputation in the resources and mining services sector.
Digby holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Curtin University and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.

Chris joined Argonaut in 2008.
He has over 20 years of experience in research and institutional sales roles, specialising predominantly in metals & mining equities. Chris began his stockbroking career at Scott Foster & Company (Sydney) before returning to Perth to work at Porter Western Limited followed by another four years in institutional research sales at Macquarie Bank Limited (Sydney). Chris later took a break from broking to become the CEO of a retirement village developer, owner, and operator before overseeing the sale of the portfolio to a wholesale investor.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics.

David Franklyn joined Argonaut in 2019 and has over 25 years of financial markets experience. He spent nearly ten years as Head of Research at a leading small company’s stockbroker and another 10 years as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of a boutique funds management business. David is also an experienced business executive, having held senior roles in both ASX-listed and unlisted companies.
David is Portfolio Manager of the Argonaut Natural Resources Fund.

Ben joined Argonaut in 2023 with over 25 years of experience in Equity and Debt capital markets, including equity trading, portfolio management, equity underwrites, IPOs, and capital structure advisory for leading global listed corporates. Most recently, he was Head of Equities and a Board Member at Goldman Sachs Australia & NZ for over five years. Ben also held senior trading roles at Macquarie Bank in both Tokyo and Sydney for over 12 years. Additionally, he served as Portfolio Manager at Blue Sky Macro and NIB Capital in London.
Ben is a board member of Argonaut Limited and co-head of Argonaut Funds Management and head of Argonaut’s Sydney operations.

Alison Thompson

Alison joined Argonaut as CFO & Company Secretary in 2022. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience. Alison commenced her career with PwC in Perth and has since held several senior finance positions across Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand.
In 2007, she joined Decmil Group Limited where she served as CFO & Company Secretary. Following her departure from Decmil in 2021, Alison worked as a consultant, assisting various companies with ASX listings, mergers, and business improvement projects.

Kevin Tyndall

Kevin joined Argonaut in 2021 and brings over 25 years of experience in operations, compliance, and risk management across the banking, insurance, stockbroking, superannuation, and not-for-profit sectors in Australia and Europe.
His expertise includes establishing and developing enterprise risk management, compliance, assurance, data management and ESG infrastructures for companies regulated by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC), the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), and the ASX.
At Argonaut, Kevin is responsible for Argonaut’s risk management, compliance, ESG, data management, ICT, cyber security, and business transformation infrastructures. This includes ensuring the Argonaut group meets its legislative and regulatory obligations, including Australian Financial Services licence conditions and ASX Market Participant requirements.
