The Argonaut Natural Resources Fund is an actively managed, high conviction investor in the Australian resources sector.
In an investment marketplace characterised by a move to passive index investing and homogenous investment mandates, the resource sector is well placed to deliver above average returns to those investors with the specialist skills required to successfully identify opportunities in this growing and changing landscape. An experienced investment team has been appointed to manage the Fund and a rigorous investment system is in place. The Investment Manager will establish a portfolio of quality resource sector opportunities with an appropriate spread across various commodities, stage of project and market capitalisations, with the objective of delivering returns exceeding that achieved by the benchmark index, the S&P ASX 300 Resources Index.
The fund is structured as an open ended wholesale managed investment scheme. Minimum investment size is $50,000 with the management fee being a base fee of 1%+GST plus a performance fee of 20% above the benchmark index. The fund has monthly unit pricing and no entry or exit fees.

AFM PERSEUS FUND

The AFM Perseus Fund is an actively managed, high conviction investor in the small companies sector. This includes those companies (industrials and resources) outside the S&P ASX 100 Index.
The investment mandate has recently been expanded from the microcap resources sector to cover the broader small companies sector, which broadens the investment universe and increases the prospect of the fund outperforming its investment benchmark across various stages of the investment cycles. A rigorous investment process has been established and new appointments have been made to the investment committee.
The fee structure includes a base fee of 2%+GST and a performance fee being 20% of outperformance over a benchmark return of 10 per cent per annum.
The unit price is calculated monthly based on the net asset backing per share. As at 31 October the unit price was 13.3 cents. This does not include the approximate 18 cents in deferred tax liabilities that are available to the Fund.
