Argonaut is delighted to announce the appointment of two senior mining professionals. Ben Lane and Adam Miethke will join Argonaut after spending the past 3+ years working in Hong Kong at a mining investment group. Whilst in Hong Kong, Ben and Adam honed their skills in analysing investment opportunities in the resources sector from a buy-side perspective, with projects spanning from early stage exploration through to producing assets.
Ben’s background as a Senior Mining Engineer at Rio Tinto combined with his experience on the buy-side will complement the expertise and experience of Argonaut’s Corporate Finance team. Ben has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining – Hons) and spent 8 years working with Rio Tinto on both greenfield and brownfield mine sites in Australia and internationally. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Mathematics. Ben has been appointed as a Director in the Corporate Finance team.
Adam is a Geologist and has worked on various mine sites in Australia, South America, Africa and Europe. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Applied Geology – Hons). Over the past 6 years Adam has been responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities in the resource sector and prior to that held roles as both a mine and project geologist. Adam has been appointed as Director, Metals and Mining Research.
Edward Rigg, Managing Director & CEO of Argonaut said the addition of Ben and Adam is in line with the firm’s strategy for Argonaut to be the premier resources investment house in the Asia Pacific region.
