On 11 November, the Argonaut team brought together valued clients and special guests for its annual ‘Thank You Luncheon’ at Fraser’s Restaurant. Gifted with perfect weather, good hospitality and networking – it was the perfect setting to catch up on the year that was.
The 2021 luncheon is the first to have taken place since Argonaut’s successful merger with PCF Capital earlier this year and proved a great opportunity to acknowledge clients that had contributed to a successful 2021 for Argonaut and to celebrate the achievements of the attendees.
Glen Colgan – Managing Director, commented, “Our annual thank you lunch is steeped in Argonaut’s culture – it’s something not only our team and clients look forward to, but is an important opportunity to celebrate some of the State’s biggest transactions during the year. Our firm is built on relationships, trust and delivering value, so it’s a privilege to be able to host the clients who have given us their business this year.”
Overlooking the scenic landscape of King’s Park and the Swan River, the event was attended by more than 100 of the firm’s corporate and investing clients. The luncheon highlight was an address from guest speaker Liam Bartlett who shared his unique experiences over the years as an iconic journalist and reporter in the Australian media.
In his opening address, Argonaut Chairman Eddie Rigg recognised the mining industry as ‘heroes of the Australian economy’. He commented that as the Country recovers from the residual effects of the pandemic, the WA mining and resources industry has displayed commendable resilience and was thriving – even in the most challenging of circumstances.
Argonaut Executive Director Kevin Johnson also took the stage to share market insights and some fascinating reflections on the year that was.
